My story

I was privileged to grow up on a farm in the most northern part of South Africa and was surrounded by nature from a young age. We lived from the veld and learned from nature. Plants, animals, the soil, the birds, and the bees have a voice, and they communicate with us in different ways from how we usually communicate with humans. As with Ruach HaKodesh’s (Holy Spirit’s) voice, we need to lay down our own self to hear the voice of Yahweh’s creation.

Growing up in this remote part of our country taught me to listen to nature. Not only to hear but to listen with my heart, to see and not only to look, to work with God’s creation and not against it. This was not easy living, we had to help with the farm activities, go without shops, movies and televisions, electricity and many more luxuries. How thankful I am for that today, as I escaped a lot of programming from the world system growing up without these luxuries and media propaganda.

I studied BSc. Natural Sciences, specialising in Textiles at the University of Pretoria, and this gave me a basis for understanding the scientific part behind all things living. Like all avid gardeners, I always wondered why my veggie crops were demolished by pests and diseases. I did my best to grow crops organically but battled with unhealthy plants regularly.

Yahweh confirms in Jeremiah 33:3 that when we ask, He will answer and tell us great and unsearchable things we do not know. I asked, and He supplied knowledge through a soil course I signed up for.

The soil

I furthered my knowledge regarding soil, plants and the microorganisms orchestrating everything underneath the earth’s surface that we walk upon by enrolling in a two year course by Dr Elaine Ingham’s from The Soil Food web. I also did a course on soil microscopy and currently run The Soil Microbe Lab SA, where we test soil to determine how healthy and organic it is.

The living world beneath the soil is amazing to visit via microscope, and I hope to share some of the knowledge with the young through the Harvest Life courses. Healthy soil produces healthy plants from which healthy people live. With food filled with all the necessary, good nutrients our bodies will be able to fulfil the purpose for which God created us.

Medicinal herbs

Another passion of mine is medicinal herbs that mankind can rely on when the body does get affected by disease. Yahweh created these herbs for us to use and steward. What a journey I had studying them, a whole new world of knowledge, revelation and understanding opened up to me. These plants are free for us to use but little of us know how to use them for the benefit of our bodies and God’s Kingdom. I would love to share this key to healthy living with the next generation.

“He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth” Psalm 104:14, KJV.

Animals

Alongside the soil and the plants are the animals Yahweh created. God gave us authority over His creation and that includes the animals. We will study these amazing creatures so that the next generation will be able to steward Yahweh’s Kingdom according to His will. To do that, we need to explore more and learn more.

I am grateful to share what I have learnt. We all know in part and there is always more that Ruach reveals. The more we seek Him, the more He will reveal.

Our mandate is to look after Yahweh’s creation, as stated in Genesis 2:15, AMP: “So the Lord God took the man [He had made] and settled him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it.”

Come with me on a journey through the Harvest life courses, learning more about the gift of creation, how to steward and enjoy it!

“So God said, ‘Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of the entire earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; 30 and to all the animals on the earth and to every bird of the air and to everything that moves on the ground—to everything in which there is the breath of life—I have given every green plant for food’; and it was so [because He commanded it]” Genesis 1:29-30, AMP.
